Papers, 1898-1918.

The collection consists mainly of correspondence from Fairbanks' youth. Most of the letters are addressed to Fairbanks and are from his siblings Adelaide and Richard; his parents; and two unidentified female students. Siblings write with advice about his schooling at Andover, and the female students write from schools in France and Grand Haven, Michigan. Later correspondence (1907-1918) mainly concerns his brother Robert, as he lives in Reno and then returns to Indianapolis with his first wife, Louise Hibben.
